The Mesoestetic Periocular Peel treatment follows the Exilis Skin Tightening procedure and combines mesopeel – a medical-grade chemical peel designed to speed up skin rejuvenation – with micro-needling – a gentle pricking of the surface of your skin with needles. The microneedling uses melilot to increase blood flow in the smaller blood vessels, reduces fluid retention, and promotes lymphatic drainage. Body + Skin Clinic uses Mesoestetic Mesopeel because it has a chemo-exfoliating solution that contains key ingredients to help rejuvenate the area around the eye. This is a unique approach to periocular treatment and we have seen great results in reducing wrinkles, hyperpigmentation, and sagging eyelids.
The Periocular Rejuvenation treatment has also been developed to treat periorbital hyperpigmentation, a very common condition that is characterised by two round or semicircular golden brown or dark brown pigmented blemishes around the eyes (periocular region). The cause of periorbital hyperpigmentation can be hereditary. It can also result from excessive pigmentation following an inflammatory response to an allergic reaction that irritates the skin, or frequent swelling around the eyes, facial veins, shadowing caused by loose skin and the thinning of tissue that occurs with ageing.

The periocular treatment takes about six sessions: the first is a chemical eye peel; the second involves microneedling the periocular area (upper eyelid, outer corner, lower eyelid). A series of alternating sessions are conducted while repeating sessions 1 and 2.
