The choice in body and skin treatments is absolutely vast and can be confusing even to professionals.
At Body+Skin Clinic while we offer a range of trusted and tested brands for skin treatments, we only use BTL Aesthetics procedures for body contouring. This is after our founder, Dr Natalia Novikova saw results of treatments on her own body while researching the procedures for gynaecological concerns, and undertook her own thorough research into BTL vs alternative technologies.
We share research into specific treatments in the FAQs at the bottom of individual treatment pages, examples being those below:

If you are considering surgery, the following advice applies to all body contouring treatments:
Non-Invasive Body Treatments vs Surgery
Non-invasive body contouring treatments are often compared to surgery. Body contouring does not claim to achieve as dramatic immediate results as surgery in most instances, however the following differences should be taken into account when considering which treatment to choose:
Recovery Time
Surgical body treatments are followed by downtime or a recovery period. This varies between procedures but it may take up to two weeks to return to work and up to 6 weeks to return to more strenuous exercise.
With non-invasive body contouring procedures, the client can resume their daily activities such as work and exercise straight after the treatment.
Number of Treatments
Most surgery only requires one single treatment. Non-surgical body contouring requires several treatments, days or weeks apart to achieve the most noticeable results.
Pain
Surgical body procedures usually involve anaesthesia during the procedure and result in mild to moderate post-surgery pain which will be addressed through prescription medication. The pain usually subsides within 10 days of the procedure.
Patients of non-invasive body contouring often cite little to no discomfort during or after the treatment.
Risks
You should consult your surgeon on the full risks associated with surgical procedures. Risks in all treatments will be related to the training and experience of the surgeon or therapist carrying out the procedure.
There can be some redness and swelling after a non-invasive treatment and some treatments carry the risk of burning if not properly administered. Body and Skin Clinic therapists undergo thorough training after a 4 year Somatology degree, so risks are minimal.
Cost
When comparing the cost of surgery and non-surgical body contouring treatments, it is important to compare the total procedure cost of all the sessions required to achieve the final result.
Body+Skin Clinic will always give a treatment plan with the total cost of the number of treatments required when advising on a particular treatment.
